Green Thing meets … Green Tomato

One fun thing about helping Green Thing is all the people and organisations you get to meet – so I thought I’d start writing about some of them as we go along …..

Yesterday I met Hamish and Tom – the brains behind Green Tomato. Green Tomato’s mission is to offer you ways of being kinder to the planet without sacrificing your standard of living and without it costing you more, either in terms of quality or price.

So far they’ve two services – a green taxi firm (hmmm, is that possible …. decide for yourself at Greentomatocars.com) – and a green kit, a sort of goody package to help get you started on a more green lifestyle while savng money at the same time.

I enjoyed hearing about their insights into environmental behaviour change – and their belief that appealing with both a financial reward and an environmental benefit was a truly powerful mix. What do you think?
